Moon and Aries create a soothing, semi-hypnotic experience with “High Noon,” blending emotional connection, jazzy smoothness, and mesmerizing vocal beauty.
“High Noon” by Moon and Aries, made up of Jordana (Moon) and Tom (Aries), proves once again that distance is not a barrier for this duo, but part of the beauty that makes their work feel so intriguing and exciting.
The opening of “High Noon” is like a rising sun. Slow and dramatic, but with those sparkling and magnetic qualities a sunrise holds that make it impossible to divert your attention. The rhythm and flow of the opening are extremely powerful, yet slightly subdued, and possess a jazzy, smooth R&B feel that was crafted with timeless appeal. The saxophone, performed by Hanna Marchand (Joko Magic), is truly exceptional, and there's a nostalgic record-player hint of distortion that Tom brilliantly embedded into the track. Altogether, it creates a soothing, semi-hypnotic sensation.
"Moon and Aries turn “High Noon” into a beautifully crafted, emotionally rich experience filled with graceful vocals, exceptional saxophone, and magnetic musical chemistry."
Within this is a vocal performance by Jordana that is absolutely magical. Soft and slow, her entrance is like a calming breeze entering a window on a summer's day. Her whisper technique, holding long swells of notes, was truly impressive. Once she added the falsetto-infused moments, it felt like her creative spirit was without any boundaries. Then once again, Tom took the opportunity to highlight these long, slow notes, pulling back the music to allow her to shine. Moon and Aries are focused on crafting an emotionally connected performance, and the time and effort invested is very obvious, with mesmerizing results. This was something you could really feel, which is what makes this performance so unique and memorable.
The musical accompaniment of the atmospheric synths, guitar by Peter J. Mitchell, and the saxophone was perfectly executed. The most exciting part was the way the instruments felt like they were floating beneath and elevating the beautiful vocal delivery. This is what made such a difference in the listener's experience.
We really love the chemistry of this team. Their unique talents are truly a powerful combination that creates magnificent moments in music.
