Mitchell Broodley’s “Different’s Where I Wanna Be, feat. Brittany Ray” Bursts Out With Country Swagger, Powerhouse Vocals, And An Unforgettable Testament To Love

“Different’s Where I Wanna Be, feat. Brittany Ray” by Mitchell Broodley is a country music lover's dream and a showcase for an artist with passion and vocal power that rivals world-renowned performers. It will win you over after just one listen.

Also there is no way we could overstate how much the choice of performers for this duet makes it even more of a winner. With that, we also welcome and appreciate the beautiful performance contribution by Brittany Ray.

The opening drumbeats and guitars of “Different’s Where I Wanna Be feat. Brittany Ray” burst out with a country swagger that immediately grabs your attention. The glowing pedal steel guitar brings that tip-your-hat cowboy feeling. This was definitely a beautifully crafted opening, and we are already impressed.

But not much further into the song, we were absolutely blown away by the vocal performance of Mitchell Broodley. First of all, his embodiment of the country genre is just stunning. The authenticity and depth of his connection to the performance are outstanding. Low and deep when he chooses, then all the way to explosive and soaring, he simply serenades his way right into your heart.

“We’re a different shade of perfect and different’s where I wanna be”

And the storyline hits a universal chord with this terrific wordplay. What a great way to make a couple of lovers see past their differences and realize that being different is exactly where we should want to be.

Then enter Brittany Ray, and the electricity hits even harder. The combination of these two powerhouse vocalists rises like a tornado. There is also a beautiful banjo that fills the entire room and pushes these two even further.

What also makes this such an interesting song is how it started as an R&B-inspired idea and gradually evolved as Mitchell Broodley produced it from his home studio in Vermont. Then, while the song was being mixed by engineer Austin Stanley, Broodley decided it should become a duet. Already being a fan of Brittany Ray through her song “Future Me,” the choice was easy.

This performance comes across as a testament to love, and with this universal message and the terrific performance by Brittany Ray, the entire thing becomes unforgettable.
