"I wrote this song at a time in my life when I was feeling very homesick. I had just moved to LA and had been out here for almost a year. When I wrote it I think I was at the right place at the right time. I was working with two great songwriters and producers that go by the names rence and swshr. I told them I felt like making a ballad that day so swshr started playing these beautiful chords on the piano. Something clicked with the chords he played and I felt so inspired that the song was written in probably less than 10 minutes. It was one of those moments where the ideas are flowing so quickly you don’t stop and think about what you’re writing down."
