Fueled by soaring vocals, rhythmic guitar work, and a controlled frenzy of energy, Easy Thieves turn “Situations” into a feel-good rock and roll ride that refuses to let go.

We found Easy Thieves and the latest release “Situations,” and it was a euphoric wild ride from start to finish.

The opening feels like a teaser, with dynamic growth that almost evolves right in your ears. From a soft lo-fi beginning, it really pulls a 180 and lands hard. The drums are delivered with an almost emotional foundation, pulling you into a rhythmic guitar riff and bassy melody that drives the entire sound into a controlled frenzy and brings a smile to your face. Add a sprinkling of "yeah yeah yeah," and you have an instant backyard cookout classic. Beer not included, but definitely recommended.

The next evolution of this song is the vocals. The big, full sound is a rock and roll lovers dream. The held long notes feel like they fly overhead. It all blends together so well, creating a back-and-forth volley where the vocals weave in and out of the arrangement like a revving Chevy 454.

As “Situations” reaches its big finish, the crescendo becomes a soaring vocal duel with the blazing guitar solo, polishing this off ever so perfectly while definitely leaving you aching for more.

“Situations” by Easy Thieves is just the perfect blend of inspiration and rock and roll, the kind that feels like it would light up any party or festival and become that top-down, over-the-speed-limit freeway song.

What takes “Situations” and turns the listener into a hardcore fan is how Easy Thieves’ message is completely different from its audible appeal. Life is full of complex relationships, and the song’s storyline is not just your run-of-the-mill love story. It is one that reconnects but still carries unresolved, lingering issues, giving the audience even more to feel and hold onto.

Built from the minds of Dallas, Texas powerhouse collective Easy Thieves, featuring seasoned songwriters and collaborators Marc Vega, Jeff Rood, Rick Colclasure, and Jim Pawloski, then recorded in their hometown of Plano with 2x Grammy-nominated engineer Bryan David at Anthem Recording Studios, the band appropriately labels this sound “Romantic Survival Rock.”

We loved “Situations,” and we think you will definitely want to add Easy Thieves and this track to that playlist labeled “favorites.”
