"Omens" is an ominous, slow-permeating lament that turns emotional distance into hypnotic power.

Dream Bodies is back with another standout performance, ready to excite fans. This one carries an intense, infectious energy that’s bound to grab attention.

“Omens” feels like Dream Bodies pulling the camera back and letting empty space do some of the talking. Where earlier singles leaned into dense atmosphere and forward motion, this one slows the pulse and strips things down. The result is heavier in a different way.

Built on a sparse, dub-leaning rhythm, the track moves with restraint. The bass is patient and ominous, the drums reverberate more than they strike. Guitars and synths linger, hanging in the air for what feels like miles. What stands out immediately is the sense of emotional distance, which works in the song’s favor. It seeps in slowly, a gradual permeation of mind and body. Isolated, but expansive. It grows and lumbers toward you with an almost physical presence.

Lyrically, “Omens” circles around fate, astrology, and the uneasy feeling that love might already be written before we ever make a move. Do we ever truly make our own choices? The song feels as much like an incantation as it does a confession. At its core, it asks whether heartbreak is inevitable or if we choose it simply by taking the chance. The chorus doesn’t try to answer that question. It lets it hang there, echoing, asking you to sit with it.

The vocal delivery becomes the focal point that is truly the standout of this song. Calm and measured, it never pleads. Instead, it takes a steady, almost defiant stance in delivering its foreboding message. That restraint gives the lyrics their weight. When he sings about old habits setting too late and fate crystallizing, it feels lived-in and owned. It lands with the quiet realization that we may all be moving toward something already in motion.

Finally, we loved the way the instrumentation flows around the vocals. The arrangements are carefully calibrated, pushing the vocal forward without overwhelming it, then pulling back to let the lyrics sink in. The message invites reflection, digging deeper the longer you stay with it. This kind of fearless boundary-pushing keeps the artist on the forefront, and it’s exactly why this music continues to stand out.

Across this release, Dream Bodies doesn’t just explore sound, but restraint and intention. Every beat, every breath, every choice feels carefully placed, serving the mood and sharpening the perspective. While the vocals feel like the track’s true grandeur, the surrounding production deserves equal recognition. This isn’t simply strong songwriting on display; it’s the discipline of knowing when to hold back and when to let something land. The spacious instrumentation, deliberate mixing, and measured emotional pacing come together in a way that feels refined without ever losing its human weight.

Dream Bodies is the solo vision of Steven Fleet, a seasoned songwriter and performer whose roots run deep through the underground music world. With a history of collaboration alongside members of Magic Wands, VV and the Void, Night Nail, and Boytronic, Fleet brings a refined sense of craft shaped by years of shared stages and creative exchange. His experience touring across the US, UK, and Europe, including sharing bills with genre-defining acts like The Chameleons, has sharpened his ability to balance atmosphere with emotional immediacy.

At its core, Dream Bodies draws from the shadowed edges of post-punk, darkwave, and dreampop, blending classic influences with a modern sensibility. The project channels a lineage that stretches from iconic architects of mood and melody to contemporary artists redefining nocturnal soundscapes today. The result is music that feels immersive, intentional, and deeply expressive, rooted in tradition yet unmistakably current.

We’re so excited to have discovered, and can’t wait to hear more from the incredibly compelling Dream Bodies.

Omens” feels vast and inevitable, a stark meditation on love, fate, and the courage to take the leap.
