Bree Rusev delivers a heartfelt song with "Burn Out" and we hated... that it ended.

With a full sound and an extremely well-engineered track (Mixed+Produced by Garrett Kato, features Garrett on banjo. - Mastered by Ben Feggans), Bree Rusev’s vocals were superbly captured and immediately standout as this song delivers a powerful and uplifting feeling. Uplifting then turns into upbeat as the lyrics proclaim, “Smile for a while and burn out”.

As fun as this song began it kept us wondering because we know it may end badly (emotionally) on the note of... burning out. I can say with all certainty that it will be exciting live and I can imagine a dimly lit room full of fans holding flashlight phones or candles (ready to burn out??) all in unison and singing along.

Bree Rusev showcases a powerful and courageous-sounding performance filled with both whisper and soaring vocals that deliver excitement and introspection to, “What’s yet to come for us?”. The ending is perfect and it leaves the listener as dramatically as it enters and drops off a musical cliff to “We Burn Out”. Yes, we were suspicious this could happen.. as we felt initially, and the only part we hated was that this song was over. As told by Bree Rusev, "'Burn Out' is about relationships fading and burning out as we get older". I think what I liked about this song's message and combined delivery is that just like the song built up and then felt like it was stronger...it dropped out and solidified this message through drama and performance and just went away. Lovely and deep words from a creative mind.

With many accomplishments in the past, one stood out and was specifically for this song, the AU Review announced Bree Rusev and "Burn Out" in 2022 as the winner of the Teen category of the International Songwriting Competition.
