Begin Interview:
Hello Seanchez, we’re thrilled to have you here for this interview! We've had an amazing time exploring your music and diving into your creative journey. Now, we’re even more intrigued to get a deeper look into both your brand and your personal and professional inspirations.
Q. For the fans meeting you for the first time, is Seanchez (which we love btw) your given name or a stage name? What inspired you to choose that for your artist persona?
A. Seanchez is my stage name, inspired by my real last name, Sánchez. I wanted something that still felt like “me” but with a unique twist—something that reflects both my Latin roots and my global mindset. Seanchez felt authentic, different, and memorable.
Q. We loved the powerful vocals and your cadence, Your voice is so sensual and alluring. We love how intense and also genuine your energy is. We checked out your top Spotify songs. Do you plan to sing songs in other languages and also possibly explore other genres like ballads (we know you would kill it)?
A. Thank you so much—that truly means a lot! Yes, I’m already exploring songs in English and Portuguese, and I’m definitely open to doing more ballads in the future. I love experimenting with genres. My heart is rooted in R&B, but I also work with reggaetón, trap, afrobeats, and funk. I want my fans to feel different emotions with every song.
Q. Can you tell us how you landed on the title of “Violento”?
A. “Violento” came from the mood of the track—it’s not about physical violence, but rather the intensity of raw desire and emotional tension. It’s sensual, provocative, and a little dark, and I felt that “Violento” captured that energy perfectly.
Q. As a teaser description, what would you tell someone about this song to intrigue them about its meaning if you only had one sentence to get them interested in listening to it?
A. “Violento” is a seductive and dangerously smooth trap track that invites you into a world where lust and emotion collide.
Q. Have you ever used your music as a therapeutic tool during tough times?
A. Absolutely. Music has saved me many times. Writing songs allows me to release what I often can’t say out loud—it’s my therapy, my way of transforming pain into art.
Q. How would you describe your musical creation process? Is it more rigid and calculated or something that just pops out at the spur of the moment?
A. It's mostly spontaneous. I usually catch a vibe and let the emotion guide me—sometimes it starts with a melody, other times with a line I write down on my phone at 3 AM. I try not to force it. If the emotion is real, the music flows.
Q. What’s something you’re working on right now, whether musically or personally, that your fans might be surprised to hear about?
A. I’m working on my debut album called ENTIRE LIFE, which is a very personal project. It tells stories from my journey—love, struggle, dreams, and identity. Fans might also be surprised that I work a day job collecting waste in Switzerland while chasing this dream. That’s part of my story too.
Q. Do you find the act of writing lyrics to be a cathartic release, or more of a structured process for you?
A. Definitely cathartic. Lyrics are my way of confronting emotions. When I write, it’s like I’m speaking to myself or to someone I can’t reach anymore.
Q. Has your approach to songwriting changed since you first started, or do you find yourself sticking to habits that work?
A. I’ve grown a lot. I used to write everything super structured, but now I allow more flow and improvisation. I trust my instinct more. I still keep certain habits though—like recording voice notes constantly.
Q. How does performing a song like this live compare to hearing it in the studio for you personally?
A. Performing “Violento” live is electric. In the studio it’s intimate and reflective, but on stage it becomes something else—it’s raw, it’s intense, and I feed off the energy of the crowd.
Q. What do you want people to remember most about you after hearing this song and reading this interview?
A. I want them to remember that I’m real. That every song comes from something true, from my life. And that I’m proof you don’t need to be perfect or come from privilege to make art that moves people.
Q. We found a killer video visualizer about this song. Amazing dancing, choreography, editing, and the whole set was so intriguing. What was the whole inspirational process behind this and how and what team did you use to pull this off?
A. Thank you! The visualizer was filmed in Switzerland with a talented local team. We wanted to create a contrast between raw sensuality and elegance—so we combined dance, light, and shadows in an intimate space. My goal was to reflect the inner tension of the song visually.
Q. After having played notable gigs like the Open Concert to Calema Tour and the Caliente Festival, what are your top 3 next-level bucket list venues to perform at?
A. Luzern Live Festival, Milan Festival Latino ,Swiss Music Awards, and of course, the Latin GRAMMYs. Those stages represent recognition, cultural pride, and the dream of bringing my sound to a global audience.
Q. Outside of music, who or what has had the biggest influence on your personal growth or artistic perspective?
A. My family and the immigrant experience. Growing up between cultures made me see the world with different eyes. And artists like Don Omar and Jay Wheeler inspired me to speak my truth unapologetically.
Q. We can't thank you enough for sharing these intimate details! So, what's next? Can you give us the inside scoop on your upcoming projects and what fans should be excited about? We'd love to be the first to share the news!
A. I’m releasing “Báilame” on end of August —it’s a vibrant afrobeats track in Spanish, perfect for the summer. And as I mentioned, my album ENTIRE LIFE is in the works, set for release later this year. It’s the most personal and ambitious project I’ve ever done. Can’t wait for you all to hear it!
