We’re thrilled to have Blueprint Tokyo back with more beautiful performances, and ‘Dark New Days’ is even more proof of why this band is considered at the top of its class by fans and critics alike.

With a contemporary but still retro sound, “Orange Tiger” catapults out of the gate as the opening track of the EP titled ‘Dark New Days’. I guarantee you will feel an electricity and connection to this track. The glowing soft notes and bassy rumbling gently enter the room until the beats slowly escalate, then feel explosive but still slightly restrained. The vocals are emotional and carry you forward, and as you mentally follow the lyrics, it really becomes a magical place. The guitars capture those solo moments music seems to be losing, and because those moments have become so scarce, this feels even more invigorating. Blueprint Tokyo captures music at its finest with this release.

Alongside this is a beautiful music video for “Just Repeat Myself.” Blueprint Tokyo has the presence of humble but seriously talented musicians who really know how to command both the stage and the camera. With a vast array of angles and edits, the video takes this song’s already massive vibe and really amplifies it. We loved the live feel. It’s as if you’ve walked in on the band in the middle of the real-life recording of this song. Don’t let the last moments escape you, they bring a beauty to this track that listening alone cannot capture.

Blueprint Tokyo makes ‘Dark New Days’ a bold, charismatic, and beautifully electric EP that captures the pulse of rock with undeniable force.

“Here’s Your Story” gallops at a full-throttle forward pace. With screaming cries declaring, but also begging to know, “what do you want, what do you need?” and the moment is satisfyingly intense. The full-throttle guitars are gritty and deliver laser-sharp notes to your ears, driven even harder by the blazing drums. The bass has an unmistakable place here that pulls this all together while also giving it a real sense of movement.

“Nite Valerie” has a powerful and big sound. It evokes a Broadway rock sound reminiscent of Meatloaf, with a love story and a gentle, but highly charismatic delivery. The vocals are an absolute standout here, with long-held notes, emotional musings, and a seemingly downtrodden feel. It’s a musical journey. The musical support is crisp and smooth with a halo-type aura that still feels like a bold rock performance. I also loved the old-school fade-outs that add the true retro touch.

Blueprint Tokyo captures the pulse of the rock era with a sound that feels unmistakably their own, glowing, gritty, emotional, and built with real command and I loved every moment of Dark New Days’
