An electrifying, emotionally raw triumph that sets a new standard for modern grunge rock.

Apache Rose Light a Grunge Firestorm with “Hello”

We recently got hit with the incredibly powerful and exciting new release from Apache Rose and their latest track “Hello,” and from the very first moment, it was a total thrill ride. We were all in from the first hit, and we need you to hear this.

The opening guitars are absolutely dominant, laying down a rich, heavy grunge foundation with a gritty tension that grabs you right by the collar. It’s an explosive, no-holds-barred kickoff that instantly sets the tone for the storm to come. Following that instant burst, the drums dive in with this commanding, blasting beat, full of tightly executed fills that add just the right kind of pressure. It all moves fast and hits hard, building this roaring, unrelenting force that made us rip our headphones off and switch over to full studio monitors. You haven’t heard it right until you’ve let it loose on 15-inch woofers and 18-inch subs. This song demands that kind of treatment.

When the vocals hit, there’s that moment of electricity, that jolt where everything snaps into place. Frontman Ilya Novokhatskiy brings this magnetic, emotionally raw tone that’s as authentic as it is untamed. You know you’re hearing something real, something that cuts through the noise. What follows is an incredible vocal performance, balancing gritty rock ‘n’ roll textures with moments of pure vocal precision. There’s a looseness in his phrasing, almost casual at times, but then he’ll launch into a blistering belt with the kind of power that pins you to the wall. It’s that duality, from laid-back defiance to full-on brilliance, that makes his delivery so striking.

By the time the chorus drops, it’s already stuck in your head. It just has that built-in timelessness. We were singing along immediately, barely even aware of it, like the hook had been there all along. Then, somewhere in the production room, somebody clearly decided to kick up the low end because the bass comes in like a tidal wave. It’s thick and resonant, practically growling. It’s not just deep, it’s got this elasticity to it, bouncing and wrestling with the electric guitars in a tug-of-war that drives the energy through the roof. The whole thing feels raw and beautifully unfiltered, like you’re standing right in the middle of the room with the band. That kind of open mix is rare. There’s zero over-polishing here, just the perfect amount of dirt, sweat, and crackle to bring out the soul of real grunge rock ‘n’ roll.

“It’s been a while”

-becomes more than a lyric. It becomes this instant anthem you don’t even try to resist. You’re locked in.

And then comes the guitar surprise that totally blindsided us. We expected the heavy, the distorted, the fire. But Vladimir Kornienko, the band’s guitarist and soloist, also takes it somewhere else entirely. He slides in with a tone that pulls from blues and jazz, bends it through distortion, and drops it into a space you didn’t see coming. The result is this wild, unexpected moment that pulls the floor out from under the track in the best possible way. His playing doesn’t just complement the vocals, it elevates them. There’s a conversation happening between Vladimir’s guitar and Ilya’s voice, and the dynamic between them is absolutely electric. For fans of classic rock, that moment will land deep. And for anyone newer to this scene, that whole section might just be your new benchmark for how far a guitar solo can go in modern rock.

Overall, we were absolutely floored by Apache Rose. The arrangement is an avalanche of sound. Furious and tight. Clean where it needs to be, but wild like a bar fight in a thunderstorm. That contrast between precise execution and brutal edge is exactly what sets this apart. It’s everything grunge and rock are meant to be. And when you throw in the vocal presence Ilya Novokhatskiy brings to the table, paired with the sheer brilliance of Vladimir Kornienko on guitar, it just levels up even further. This track needs to be on your repeat list.

Fans of the genre will feel instantly at home with this one. That unmistakable 90s rock crunch lives in the bones of this track, and Apache Rose don’t just reference it. They own it.

We’re so excited to have found this one and can’t wait to hear what Apache Rose has coming next.

Apache Rose’s “Hello” is a blistering, genre-defining anthem that commands full-volume reverence.

Apache Rose hail from Moscow, but carry a fire that feels global. Their sound is soaked in the grit of American and British rock traditions, but they throw it all through a modern filter that keeps things sharp and punchy.

Their 2021 debut Attention! made serious waves and racked up over 1.5 million views on YouTube. They’ve built a strong fanbase that’s been growing steadily across the US, UK, and throughout Europe. Frontman Ilya Novokhatskiy leads the charge with a fierce presence, while guitarist Vladimir Kornienko brings heat with solos that leave a lasting impact.
