Tom Worrf hits with seismic vocals, thunderous musicianship, and a presence that’s impossible to ignore

We found the incredible artist and band, Tom Worrf, and the amazing hard rock blues EP Fairy Tales From…, and we were totally blown away. This is a stunning fusion of musical grit, emotional voltage, and raw craftsmanship that will absolutely blow away and impress even the most hardcore fans with the highest expectations.

Fairy Tales From… kicks off with the track “Rock N’ Roll Star,” and it hits like a thunderclap. A blazing, no-holds-barred firestorm that immediately pulls you in. The opening guitar riff feels eerie and hollowed out, almost ghostlike. Then suddenly, the full band detonates with punchy, commanding drums that hit like controlled explosions. The guitar distortion is ferocious yet surgical, massive in sound but retaining just enough clarity to feel deliberate.

The bassline is thick and brooding, adding a weighty sense of momentum that rises and crashes like a storm surge.

Then the vocals strike, and it’s a moment of pure electricity. Rock ‘n’ roll is meant to be gritty, loud, and untamed. That’s exactly what we get here. The vocal delivery has an untouchable confidence, full of ragged edges and raw attitude, but also carried with emotional control. That balance makes it all land hard. There’s a chemistry between the players that you don’t hear often, like they’re chasing the same breath. The vocals are something primal, veering between smooth, almost whispered passages and full-on, siren-wail blasts that could tear the paint off the walls. It’s like they’re reading sheet music from their own souls, driven by emotion and anchored in brotherhood.

We were especially into the vocal harmonies, the “ooooooo’s,” that hit just before the lyric:

“Cuz I’m a rock n roll star.”

That line, that moment, and the soaring guitar resonance that follows make this performance a total knockout. As a first taste of Fairy Tales From…, it couldn’t hit harder. We’re already hooked.

Then comes “Sun City,” and it’s a change of pace, but not of intensity. This track simmers with tension, opening in a kind of slow-motion standoff. It taunts. It teases. Long, drawn-out guitar notes hold you in suspense, stretching time, while the vocals slide in smooth, elongated over these gritty soundscapes. The drums come in not to keep time but to elevate it. Each fill feels like punctuation to a declaration. The weight of the music here is visceral. It doesn't just play. It stalks you. The sustained guitar lines roll in like tanks across your living room, and it’s impossible not to feel their impact.

Next up is “Secret Life Part.I,” and we’ll admit it, we’re playing favorites here. From the first rumble of the intro, it grabs you by the spine. The low-end shakes your core while intermittent, offbeat guitar notes burst like sparks off a fire. It’s immediate and unforgettable. The vocal performance here is a standout among standouts. Layered over the track with a kind of effortlessness that only comes from deep confidence and control. It’s expressive but never overdone. You can feel the heart, the grit, and the need behind every line. This song captures the essence of rock ‘n’ roll in its purest form. It is untamed, emotional, and magnetic.

And then we get to the closer, “Diamonds.” This is where Tom Worrf truly proves that genre, expectation, and even familiarity are just tools for reinvention. We had no idea this was a cover until almost halfway through. That’s how original it feels. The track opens like a freight train of blues-rock grunge, with drums slashing through the sound like a razor. It’s an absolute sonic assault, but somehow so precise. When the vocals kick in, the recognition starts to spark. Any link to the original feels distant. This is their version now. Brutal, beautiful, and brilliantly reimagined. The vocal stretch feels infinite. The guitars slide and claw through the mix, reshaping the atmosphere on the fly. And when the band hits the accelerator, switching into high gear, it’s transcendental. This may be one of the most exciting, gut-punching covers we’ve ever heard. It doesn’t just pay tribute. It reinvents.

We’re so thrilled to have discovered Tom Worrf. This band's talent is staggering. It’s not just about technical chops or vocal ability. It’s about soul, cohesion, and the rare ability to create something that feels both deeply personal and universally powerful. Whether it’s their own song or a cover, the execution is fearless. It feels like there’s no ceiling to their potential.

Bottom line, you need to hear Fairy Tales From…, because this band is the real deal and we’ll be watching their every move.

NAME - The Cage, a music blog powered by Cage Riot

Tom Worrf’s “Rock N’ Roll Star” is a ferocious, soul-soaked anthem that redefines modern rock energy

Tom Worrf hails from Nantes, France, built from the bones of late-night rehearsals and early-morning instincts. The project began with three seasoned musicians whose paths collided near Paris, and they found something rare in each other. It wasn’t about trends or formulas. It was about sound born of survival, raw, immediate, and fully lived-in.

When they relocated to western France, they brought that same unfiltered energy with them. No producers. No layers of studio polish. Just amps worn down by time, drums that echo with sweat and dust, and songs that hit like a truth you can’t ignore. Their ethos is simple: stay real, stay loud, stay honest.

Their influences span the primal blues-rock drive of The Black Keys, the minimalist power of Royal Blood, the emotional fire of Audioslave, and the chaos-into-magic energy of Reignwolf. While those references hint at where they come from, Tom Worrf clearly forges their own path.

The EP Fairy Tales From… captures a band in full command of their vision. It's the culmination of instinct and grit. Every note is handmade. Every mix is self-crafted. Even their live sessions follow that principle. One take. No edits. What you hear is what they are.

We're so excited to have found Tom Worrf and can’t wait to hear what comes next.
