Taking Your Dreams and Making Them Priority is an Empowering Message from kate the dreamer.

kate the dreamer’s soft and subdued singing style is beautiful and will attract the ears of many listeners because her voice, coupled with heartfelt lyrics is how we came to love this particular track, “Call U When I Land” from her latest release "where'd all my wild things go?". The story setting is sad, offers no resolution, and shows us how happy endings aren’t always realities. The plight of who do we choose to make happy, ourselves, or the one who raised us is the message of this song. I particularly am in love with the title. It made me feel like she’s saying, “well, regardless of how you feel, I’m going anyway”. It’s amazing how loving someone instigates a sensation of wishing to be accepted and supported by them, or it can break our hearts.

I do want to say that the heartbreak hasn’t held kate the dreamer’s career back at all; “kate the dreamer quit her 9-5, packed up her car, and moved across the country from small-town Connecticut to big city Los Angeles”.

This is taking your dreams and making them the #1 priority and it's definitely having an impact! This EP’s 7-track collection of songs is out now! In addition, she has had collaborations with artists and writers such as Kevin Garrett (Beyoncé, BANKS), Brett Hite of FRENSHIP, Doug Schadt (Maggie Rogers, ASHE), JORDY, OSTON, Quinn Lewis, James Droll, Gatlin. She received a placement in Hulu’s 2021 ‘Made For Her’ campaign and had her first label release via upcoming LGBTQ+ pop artist JORDY (300 Entertainment) with

writing credits on “Till It Hurts” and “Trevor”.

An amazing EP, and here is a recent video of "Lovely "which follows "Call U When I Land" on her debut EP.

Call U When I Land

VERSE 1:

I ya I got tired,

Set little fires,

To what you said.

Ya little pieces,

In my hands,

Texts never sent.

I put yours first,

It really hurt,

it had to end,

So here I am.

Here I am.

PRE:

Words out loud,

I never wanna say it but don’t ask me to fake it and all I want is

You to be proud, cause this is who you raised

and i am not afraid to chase it

CHORUS:

I remember the day when you first heard me sing

And the look on your face when I moved to LA

And I know what you think but this isn’t your dream

Yeah I understand

Call you when I land

VERSE TWO

wait,

I’m 26,

I tried to fix

The things you’ve said.

Like little ghosts

They haunt my brain

And all my plans.

I wanna cry,

I wanna laugh,

They feel the same

So who’s to blame?

BRIDGE

only child

Every moment

Signs a light on

Where you’re going

Or am I a disappointment now,

What my parents talk about

I feel guilty

I’m not closer

Send me photos

Makes me miss ya

But

CHORUS X2

I remember the day when you first heard me sing

And the look on your face when I moved to LA

And I know what you think but this isn’t your dream

Yeah I understand

Call you when I land
