LOMENS turns “Surely Not?” into a vivid, powerful, and wildly creative EP full of intricate patterns, explosive energy, and show-stopping vocal force.

LOMENS’s EP “Surely Not?” stood out and captured our attention immediately, and we were very excited to share it with you.

The track “Messroom” started it all off with an exhilarating, intricate beat pattern, wild synths, and a wide but quirky bass. This quickly showed me this band has no intention of being your standard, run-of-the-mill artist. When the vocals enter, the emotional styling mixed with a fantastic falsetto-infused declaration makes it clear this song came from pain and despair. The energy of the song was deeply connected to this storyline. With driving crescendos and pointed beats that felt like they were accelerating your heartbeat, this song’s power to take you from melancholic to jumping up and down inside, is what makes it so special.

Also, the lyrical refrains and complex patterns are what really have you focused and ingrained in the song’s message from just one listen. On our subsequent listen, it felt different, as if the musicians put on such a vivid and powerful performance that you can’t hear anything but explosive energy and the deep dedication pouring out of the band’s pores. This band feels like they make music with so much depth and texture that there are multiple songs within each track. If this is your first experience with LOMENS, trust us, you are going to be really happy you found them.

LOMENS’s “Surely Not?” is an intricate, explosive, and wildly creative EP with stunning vocals and unforgettable full-band chemistry.

Then we checked out “Dregs & Daggers,” and it took us from impressed to elated, with its jazz and rock stylings combined with Broadway-esque vocals in a show-stopping delivery that absolutely nailed it. It’s a terrific combination, from detailed, skilled musicians putting on a show to what feels like a musical thriller being played by a band who truly loves what they do. It’s the most locked-in, cohesive moment a fan could ever ask for.

The final track, “Alveolar” is just another example that this band operates at the highest level of creativity. This entire EP has proven to be one incredible moment after the other. But this wrap-up track to “Surely Not?” is full of a masterpiece finale, complete with ear-shattering solos all the way to a soft landing that was the perfect exit stage left for this band.

If you’re looking for outstanding performances and vocals that will move you, then look no further than LOMENS and their latest EP, “Surely Not?”
