Begin Interview:
Hello Jeppediinho, we’re thrilled to have you here for this interview! We've had an amazing time exploring your music and diving into your creative journey. Now, we’re even more intrigued to get a deeper look into both your brand and your personal and professional inspirations.
Q. We love the opening notes of “We Are The Winners.” The incredible upbeat vibes with thrusting drum and bass undertones, followed by your emotional vocal entrance, immediately felt like we were watching a movie and witnessing the main character in a moment of transformation. It was the type of song that gives you that spine-tingling sensation. When did you first discover your voice, and what moment shifted it from something personal and intimate to recording with the intention of sharing it with a worldwide audience, ultimately setting the stage for the powerful career we are experiencing now?
A. For me, my “voice” has always been in the melodies, they’re the heart of my music and the way I express both joy and emotion. I began writing songs because of everything I’ve been through in life. At first, it was very personal, almost like a way to process my own experiences. But over time I realized that melodies and lyrics have the power not only to heal me, but also to connect with others. That’s why I share my music today: to spread joy and energy, but also to touch people on a deeper level and let them know they’re not alone.
Q. Is this particular musical style something you’ve always embraced from the very beginning of your journey, or has it evolved over time from influences or other genres you experimented with earlier?
A. I’ve always loved house music, rock, and 80s synth music because of the energy, the melodies, and the riffs they carry. That’s the kind of music I began making at first. Over time, my songwriting and lyrics grew from personal experiences, and since then, I’ve always listened a lot to pop, my writing naturally became more pop-oriented. Today my style is somewhere between house and pop, with the energy of rock and the melodic spirit of the ’80s as well.
Q. Your track "We Are The Winners" is built around a mindset of resilience and focus. How have you personally experienced moments of doubt and pushed through them, both in your music career and in your past as an athlete?
A. Both in football, in e-sports, and in my professional life there have been moments when people said something was impossible. I’ve proven them wrong by trusting my intuition and pushing through. In music, just like when competing at a high level in sports, I’ve sometimes had to remove distractions from my life in order to stay focused and complete my goals. That’s how I managed to finish my album and also perform at my best as an athlete.
Q. Given your background in competitive football and e-sports, do you think there's something about the psychology of those fields that shaped how you approach music production?
A. I think you build a very strong mentality when you constantly put yourself under pressure in those situations. It makes you able to perform when things get tough. For me, producing music is sometimes like solving a puzzle, figuring out how to make the song work. Because of that background, I never give up easily.
Q. You've blended a lot of diverse influences in your music, from EDM to '80s vibes to hard rock. Can you talk about a specific moment or experience where these genres collided in your mind to form "We Are The Winners"?
A. "We Are The Winners" actually started with me just playing on my synth and coming up with the riff that you hear in the verses. From there, the song naturally blended rock-inspired drums, an ’80s synth vibe in the sound, and that EDM-style build-up and drop. It wasn’t planned, it just happened naturally.
Q. You mentioned building your sound from scratch in your studio in Stockholm. How did that space evolve for you over time, and what role does it play in your creative process today?
A. I’m still producing in a very small studio in Stockholm, along with my home studio now that I live in Kalmar. That space has always been key to my process, and I’ve upgraded it every year. It’s still where I create my melodies, sounds, and songwriting ideas today.
Q. The idea of a “winning mindset” is central to your music. What role do you think this mindset plays in the way we experience both success and failure in life?
A. I think it plays a huge role. As long as you have the right mindset, you can achieve anything and even when things don’t go your way, you stay positive and learn from it. My favorite quote is: “You never fail until you stop trying.” It’s never too late to change your mindset, everyone can do it, but it requires discipline.
Q. Your upcoming album is titled Games of Life. How does this concept extend beyond just the title, how does the album represent the different “games” we play in our personal and professional lives?
A. It represents the personal journey and the different phases I’ve gone through, phases I think many people struggle with in their lives. At first, unexpected tough times happen. You lose yourself in overthinking and self-doubt, and it feels like a loop or a cycle you need to break free from. Then you need to rebuild yourself, find your identity, your love, your inner strength and once you do, you’re ready to do anything you want in life. The key is to take full control of your mind, because when you do, everything feels better and you can truly live fully again.
Q. The concept of Games of Life sounds like it captures both the struggles and victories we face in life’s most challenging moments. How did your personal experiences shape the storytelling on this album, and what do you hope people will feel after listening to it?
A. The album reflects the different phases I personally had to go through in life. I hope people feel inspired, that they recognize themselves in the songs, and that they understand that no matter which phase they’re in, they should never lose faith in life.
Q. The pre-release party in Stockholm sounds like it’s going to be special. What’s something about your live shows or events that fans might not expect but will make the experience unforgettable?
A. It’s the magical vibe. I want everyone to feel good and really absorb the joy and energy I’m sharing. That’s exactly how I feel when I make music and that’s why I want to share it with others.
Q. We could not believe the beautiful soaring vocals of the album's “Lost In My Mind.” It was like you were able to capture the essence of feeling lost with your vocals in the reverberations and floating sensation. What’s the essence of this track in your desire for fans to take away from it?
A. That it’s okay to feel different and that just because others don’t understand you, it doesn’t mean you’re wrong. Sometimes the hardest thing in life is to think differently than everyone else, but that’s perfectly fine. We are all different and need different things in life.
Q. “Feels So Good” is another amazing, explosive tsunami of sound from the album. The pop vibes make it radio-ready, but it also feels like it’s bound to be a DJ’s go-to at the midnight hour. Without giving away too much of your trade secrets, how do you conjure up such powerful and exhilarating vibes in your music and transfer that into your recordings?
A. I think it comes from my love for music and the fact that I can never sit still, my energy shines through when I’m creating songs. I love everything with groove in music, so I create songs that give me energy. This particular track, came from a period when I was feeling at my very best in life.
Q. What do you want people to remember most about you after hearing this song and reading this interview?
A. I want them to remember that my music is made from my own life phases, a code to get through challenges and feel good again. No matter which phase you’re in, I want people to be able to overcome it and find happiness in life. That’s the big message of this album.
Q. We’d love to dive deeper into the story behind your artist name, Jeppediinho. Now that we’ve had a chance to experience your music, it’s clear that your fans will be equally curious about the meaning behind the name. How does Jeppediinho connect to the music you create, what significance does it hold for you personally, and what is the origin or backstory behind the name?
A. I’ve always been a football guy, and ever since I was five years old I loved Ronaldinho as a player, because of his joy for football and his magic, where anything could happen. That’s exactly what the name means to me in music too. I love making music, and you never really know what I’ll come up with next. The name captures my playful and creative approach, both in music and in life.
Q. And finally, what’s next? Can you give us the inside scoop on your upcoming projects and what fans should be excited about? We'd love to be the first to share the news!
A. I have a lot of new music projects coming up, and I want to start performing live for real. I don’t want to reveal too much, but I have several songs that were originally meant to be on the album that I’ll release afterwards, along with a lot of other tracks I want to finish and release in the next few years.
Jeppediinho, thank you so much, we appreciate you taking the time to talk to us!
