We found the latest release, “Peer Pleasure,” from Ian Stahl, and it’s a standout track guaranteed to get a lot of attention.

The real winner is the vocal performance, and it won’t take anyone long to fall in love with Ian Stahl. With swagger and confidence that still feels humble, Ian Stahl brings a true connection with the listener.

There’s also a definite engineering win here, with an arrangement full of ear candy that you will love. The lyrics are born from real-life experiences and help the song deliver some really powerful moments.

“Peer Pleasure” is unmistakably rock and roll, but it also has a pop and dance foundation that gets you moving right in your chair. Taking control of this audible stage, we really felt his technique and design create a unique blend of sexiness and sincerity. Ian Stahl shows you he’s not just in love, but also in love with performing, and that literally bleeds right over to the listener.

Musically, “Peer Pleasure” gives you plenty to grab onto. You need to keep an ear out for that hypnotic bassline and that grinding mix of electric guitars that really captivates and makes this song feel like it’s truly in the groove. Ian Stahl has done an amazing job of forging his path, and it’s going to lead him to the doorstep of millions of fans.

We also loved the story behind it all. Only a real cool love song doesn’t let on from the start that it’s actually one, and you only realize this is one when you dive deep and hear his words about making amends and winning his soon-to-be wife back during some tumultuous times. We hear:

“No matter what the weather

you know it’s always better when we’re side by side”

But then he brings the sexy with:

“It takes a little pain to know a little pleasure.”

And this is the magic that brings “Peer Pleasure” together. Love hits harder when it’s drizzled in a little lust, and Ian Stahl has plenty of it. Don’t miss out on that sizzling guitar solo at the end, bringing what feels like a perfect ending to this terrific performance.

Ian Stahl is a Los Angeles-based frontman, multi-instrumentalist, and producer stepping into his solo era with a serious amount of experience behind him. With “Peer Pleasure,” he pulls together Brit Rock nostalgia, gritty vocals, awesome guitar energy, glittery synths, and a real-life love story that gives the track its heart.

We are excited to have found Ian Stahl. This feels like it’s going to be an exciting ride, and all along, we plan on being in the front row.
