Unforgettable vocals and emotional precision make Galaxy Club a breakout force with limitless potential.

Galaxy Club, the solo project from seasoned indie band member Benjamin Curtis, steps out boldly with a debut EP that’s equal parts raw emotion, immersive production, and finely tuned sonic detail. There’s something magnetic about the way Galaxy Club captures feeling, not just as a theme, but as an atmosphere that surrounds every note and syllable.

Right from the first few seconds of the EP 'am i here now,' you’re invited into a deeply personal yet expansive listening space. The title track sets the tone with a striking sense of intimacy: layered vocal textures feel like a private conversation, even as they rise to soaring heights that fill the room. There’s a purity in the production that amplifies this duality. It’s soft-spoken but massive, quiet yet commanding. When Galaxy Club delivers the lyric:

“uh uh oh fall in love again”,

-it’s like time suspends for just long enough to make you feel it land in your chest. That moment exemplifies the artist’s ability to create silence through sound, tension through tenderness. The mix is razor-sharp, giving the delicate breathwork room to shine while still hitting with rhythmic precision. As an opening track, it’s a defining moment, and a statement that Galaxy Club knows exactly who they are and what they want to say.

The energy pivots but never dips with “tuesday wine.” The synths shimmer with a mellow pulse, wrapping the listener in a warm entrance. As the acoustic guitars join with tightly woven rhythmic patterns, there’s an irresistible pull into the world of the track. Galaxy Club’s vocal performance is reflective and open, like pages from a journal being sung out loud. His phrasing creates space for every word to land fully, and the vulnerability is addictive. When the beat picks up with vibrant fills and a rolling momentum, it feels like being gently swept into a wave that never breaks.

“I’m walking away from another day where I’ve gotta go out cause I am afraid of change lover”

is one of those lines that resonates with uncanny relatability. It is unfiltered and beautifully phrased. Later, when he sings:

I missing tuesday wines, not bringing back this time”,

the ache is soft, sincere, and shared. You’re in that room with him, glass in hand, reminiscing over what used to be.

“surfclub light” floats in with luminous piano touches and glowing synths that instantly relax the nervous system. The track radiates a slow-burn energy, the kind that sneaks up on you. Galaxy Club’s vocals drop just slightly lower in the mix here, compelling you to lean in and really listen. His delivery walks the line between conversational and composed. It just hits that perfect sweet spot where sincerity shines. The rhythmic build feels like momentum gathering under your feet, pushing you uphill toward a euphoric high. It’s cinematic, and when the beat peaks and his vocals hit with that signature tight-punch throttle, it’s electrifying. The control he maintains, even in the most kinetic moments, is masterful. The result is a track that feels like a slow-motion climax that leaves you spinning.

Closing out the EP is “your ghost,” and it’s a stunner. The guitar work immediately grabs you. It is crisp, open, and emotive. It lays down the perfect runway for Galaxy Club’s vocals to take flight. Here, the vocal performance is fully unleashed: sustained notes that reach skyward, phrasing that digs deep into the emotional marrow, and a confident restraint that keeps it from veering into melodrama. You feel every ounce of heart poured into this track.

The engineering by ARIA-winning Paul McKercher elevates everything to a pro-level sheen. Each layer is carefully sculpted; every instrument occupies its own space in the mix without crowding the vocals. It is a pristine soundscape that enhances the soul of the song without overshadowing it.

By the end of 'am i here now', it’s clear that Galaxy Club isn’t just testing the waters. He has arrived. This is a fully realized, emotionally fluent debut that speaks with the clarity of a seasoned artist. There’s wisdom here, but also a sense of curiosity and sonic exploration that feels exciting and new. Galaxy Club doesn't just create music. He curates moments. And this EP is full of them.

This release signals something special. Galaxy Club is an artist in full command of his voice and vision. He displays a care and creativity in every moment that is undeniable. We’ll be listening to 'am i here now' on repeat until the next drop lands, and you should too.
