Hello EL PADRE, we’re thrilled to have you here for this interview! We've had an amazing time exploring your music and diving into your creative journey. Now, we’re even more intrigued to get a deeper look into both your brand and your personal and professional inspirations.
Q. The opening commanding vocals of “The Game” are beautiful. We love the soaring dynamic sense in the background and then the electronic fueled percussion was absolute perfection. Additionally, the vocal artist was an absolutely exhilarating sound. How do you create your music? Do you start with a musical arrangement and then find the vocals or is it vice versa and you bring the lyrics and have them completed and then take that to find the supporting musical arrangement styling?
A. Thank you! For me, every track has its own path. Sometimes it begins with a melodic idea, a chord progression, or even just a bassline that sets the mood. Other times, it starts with a vocal that inspires the entire structure around it. With “The Game,” I wanted the vocals to be commanding from the start, so the arrangement was built like a frame around that energy. I love treating vocals not just as lyrics but as an instrument themselves-they guide the atmosphere and dictate the tension and release.
Q. When did you first realize the power of your abilities and what moment in your life transformed it from a personal, intimate expression to a tool for sharing your story with the world, ultimately laying the foundation for the impactful career we see today?
A. I first felt that power when I was very young, playing accordion in music school. I realized sound could move people emotionally without words. But the true shift happened years later when I left my business career to dedicate myself fully to music. Performing in Ibiza for the first time was the defining moment-it wasn’t just about me anymore, it was about creating a shared energy with the crowd. That’s when I knew my music could connect stories and people on a deeper level.
Q. Your sound goes beyond the standard dance music blueprint. It is really unique, and it’s clear you’ve cultivated something distinct. Is this particular musical style something you’ve always embraced from the very beginning of your journey, or has it evolved over time from influences or other genres you experimented with earlier?
A. It’s definitely an evolution. My foundation is rooted in melodies and harmonies, but my style matured by experimenting with different genres-house, deep house, techno - before finding my voice in melodic techno and progressive house. Influences like Armand van Helden, Roger Sanchez, and Ben Böhmer shaped my sense of groove and emotion. Over time, I blended those inspirations into something that feels like my own fingerprint.
Q. Can you tell us how you landed on the title of “The Game” and was it your first choice or was it an evolution?
A. The title “The Game” came naturally. The track has this push-and-pull energy, almost like the ups and downs we face in life. It felt like a metaphor for the constant game we play-with ourselves, with others, with destiny. It was actually my first instinct for the title, and it just fit perfectly with the commanding vocal line.
Q. The fusion of melodic house and techno in "The Game" creates a unique emotional atmosphere. Can you share how you approach blending these genres to evoke both energy and emotion? Without giving up too much creatively, what elements do you focus on to ensure the track resonates emotionally while still driving the dancefloor?
A. My approach is about balance. Techno brings raw energy, groove, and hypnotic rhythm, while melodic house adds the emotional storytelling. I usually start with a solid low-end groove and then carefully layer melodies and harmonies that can soar above it without losing drive. The trick is in dynamics-building tension, releasing it, and letting the track breathe. That way, the crowd feels both the pulse in their body and the emotion in their heart.
Q. Given that your previous track, "Closer," was well received by curators and blogs, what aspects of “The Game” did you consciously evolve or experiment with, compared to your past releases? Was there something specific you wanted to communicate with this track that you hadn’t before?
A. With “Closer,” the goal was intimacy and emotional depth. With “The Game,” I wanted to experiment with a bolder, more powerful vocal presence and a stronger percussive drive. It’s about claiming space-both musically and personally. The message is more assertive: it’s about taking control, making moves, and not being afraid to play your part in life’s game.
Q. We saw some of your YouTube videos of your DJ performances and we must say that you look like you totally have the crowds hyped. Where do you find yourself happiest, creating music in the studio or playing live for audiences? How would you describe the difference between creating music in the studio versus performing as a live DJ?
A. Both worlds feed each other. In the studio, I’m in full creative mode-it’s introspective, experimental, and limitless. On stage, it’s about connection. The energy exchange with the crowd is something magical-you feel instantly if a track works or not. Creating music is about building the story, but performing it live is about bringing that story to life and letting people experience it with you in real time.
Q. When you are writing a song, do you feel more like you're chasing something or letting go of something?
A. Honestly, it’s both. At first, it feels like chasing-searching for that perfect sound, that spark. But once it clicks, it becomes about letting go, allowing the music to flow through me without overthinking. The best tracks are the ones where I’ve managed to stop controlling and just surrender to the process.
Q. Can you tell us your full musical journey? Is this particular musical genre styling something you’ve always embraced from the very beginning of your journey, or has it evolved over time from influences or other genres you experimented with earlier?
A. My journey began with classical training on accordion, then years of exploring different musical territories. I’ve touched everything from oldschool house to pop elements, but I always gravitated toward deep, emotive sounds. Melodic techno and progressive house became my home because they let me combine technical precision with storytelling. It’s a genre where you can be both powerful and vulnerable, and that duality reflects my life.
Q. Do you visualize scenes or stories when you write, and how much does the imagery guide your lyrics?
A. Absolutely. I often see landscapes, emotions, or even cinematic moments in my head before I even touch a synth. The visuals act as a compass-they guide not only the lyrics but also the textures, pacing, and energy. “The Game,” for example, felt like a nighttime city scene-mysterious but full of momentum.
Q. Let’s build a summer playlist around “The Game.” What three other tracks absolutely need to be on it?
A. Great idea! I’d include:
“Horizon” by ARTBAT - for its deep emotional layers.
“Tataki” by Argy - pure hypnotic groove.
“Mind Away” by Ben Böhmer - a perfect balance of dreamy and driving.
Q. What do you want people to remember most about you after hearing this song and reading this interview?
A. I want them to remember authenticity. That my music is not just about beats-it’s about emotions, about telling a story they can connect to. If a listener walks away feeling seen, inspired, or energized, then I’ve succeeded.

Now that we’ve had a chance to experience your music, it’s clear that your fans will be equally curious about the meaning behind the name that accompanies your sound. How does EL PADRE connect to the music you create, what significance does it hold for you personally, and what is the origin or backstory behind the name?
A. EL PADRE translates to “The Father.” For me, it’s about being a guide, a storyteller, someone who creates safe yet powerful spaces for people through music. It’s also a nod to my personal life-being a father figure in my family and community. The name reminds me of responsibility: to lead, to inspire, and to protect the authenticity of my art.
Q. And finally, what’s next? Can you give us the inside scoop on your upcoming projects and what fans should be excited about? We'd love to be the first to share the news!
A. I’m very excited about the months ahead. I’m working on a series of collaborations with vocalists that push my sound into new territory, plus preparing a special live set for Burning Man 2025 that will be one of my most ambitious performances yet. There’s also an EP coming later this year that dives deeper into cinematic soundscapes while keeping the dancefloor energy alive. Fans can expect both surprises and growth-I want every release to feel like the next chapter in a bigger story.
