We were introduced to Matthew James Richards and the album Reflections, and we were so excited to become a part of this listening experience. 

Opening with the title track, "Reflections," the gentle and soft piano keys create a breathtaking atmosphere. It’s tremendous when an artist can make a song title match the essence and meaning of the song. The twinkling ivories invite us to think and reflect on our own lives, turning the music into our own emotions—a huge win for us. When the violins join in, it’s pure beauty. Matthew James Richards is a masterful performer who truly understands his craft. As the song progresses, the sensation intensifies, culminating in a mesmerizing crescendo that feels like swirling within the wind. The moment at three minutes and twenty seconds will blow you away—it's akin to an exhilarating piano-guitar solo that heightens the senses. The dramatic climax towards the end wraps up this emotional instrumental journey perfectly.

Next, we jumped into "Passage of Time," where we were pleasantly held front and center by the angelic twinkling of violins and a fantastic drum beat. It’s like walking through a meadow, arms outstretched, enjoying every musical expression. Matthew's ability to weave essences into this piece keeps our attention while beautifully complementing every other instrument. As the track progresses, it evokes the sensation of a hero preparing for their destiny, making it ideal for any movie or TV show. Just wait for the halfway point—it's a tremendous moment that showcases this artist’s masterful abilities.

The album also includes "Reflections – Meditation Ambience, Piano Mix," which takes the title track to new heights with a fresh feeling. The pianos float above you when enjoyed through headphones, creating a dreamlike experience. Similarly, "Passage of Time – Piano Version" offers a classical-inspired arrangement, with crisp, intimate notes that will impress any fan of classical music.
