David Fraser just released the hot and high-energy track “Reality TV,” and we were thrilled to have the chance to check it out.
The opening beats of this song are brimming with an electrifying energy that immediately grabs your attention. David Fraser’s vocals are powerful, rich, and vibrant, delivering a commanding performance that complements the song’s exhilarating lyrics. However, the real twist lies in the contrast between the song’s high-energy sound and its deeply introspective message.
Fraser wanted to deliver a message with this single that delves into the challenges of modern society, exploring the pressures and existential questions that shape our search for meaning and self-identity; and what a great job he did. The song highlights the common struggles and aspirations of today’s youth, offering a poignant and relatable perspective. What makes this concept even more fascinating is that, before the internet, these issues weren’t necessarily universal. Now, an artist like David Fraser, hailing from Scotland, sees the same world as someone from the U.S., India, or virtually anywhere else on the planet.
That’s what makes this message so compelling. Fraser keenly observes how this cultural phenomenon is acting like a sedative, affecting an entire global generation in the same way. The juxtaposition of an upbeat, energetic sound with such a thought-provoking theme actually enhances the track’s impact, making it all the more captivating. Excellent job again highlighting how the internet is the same, it’s supposed to be positive but hides a deep, darker impact on society. We felt this was an awesome job by Fraser!
The song maintains its exhilarating momentum throughout. The driving drums are tight and punchy, laying down a firm foundation for the rest of the dynamic and energized musical arrangement. About halfway through, an outstanding use of synth engineering elevates the track even further, perfectly showcasing Fraser’s rapid-fire, almost rap-like lyrical delivery. Lines such as:
“And I give into all my vices / I try them a few times so I know I like them”
They hit with a powerful punch, adding to the song’s raw intensity.
This track has the energy of a fighter jet, with a rhythm and execution that keeps your adrenaline pumping while simultaneously making you pause and think, a rare combination that few artists can pull off successfully. And let’s not forget the infectious “da da da da da da” moment, which injects a playful, lighthearted touch right in the middle of all this depth. It’s unexpected yet undeniably fun!
We believe this rising artist is on the verge of something big. Fraser will be supporting Kyle Falconer from The View on February 7th, an exciting opportunity to showcase his talent to a wider audience. Additionally, he has an ambitious plan to release a song every month throughout 2025. Having recently toured with Tom Meighan from Kasabian and supported Pete Doherty last year, his track record is already impressive, WOW!
With this level of artistry and momentum, David Fraser is undoubtedly an artist to watch. We’ll be keeping a close eye on what he does next, and we can’t wait to hear more from this electrifying talent!
You can find this release on any major platform, make sure to playlist, stream, and share "Reality TV" by David Fraser.
