The title track, “Lavender Skies,” displayed tremendous vocal power. The progression from soft to powerful, combined with the incredibly magnetic styling of Aimee Iris’ voice, blew me away. She is definitely one of my favorite new artists to discover. The lyrics carry inspiring messages that send a rush of emotion straight to your heart. Her tender writing, combined with her breathtaking falsetto delivery, was stunning.

“Queen Bee” showed the solemn, darker side of Aimee Iris. With a close-up and deeply personal declaration of pain, it felt like a Broadway orchestra unfolding in real time. Layered with huge musical sweeps and her signature radiant vocals, this message and warning landed with extraordinary force.
“Afraid of the Dark” has an incredible bassline that drives a rhythmic and infectious melody. I was addicted to this song by the time I reached the chanting. Aimee Iris is a tremendous find and a remarkably talented artist, and you need to check out this exceptional album.
