Title: A&R Scout Intern
Cage Riot offers an internship designed to support the growth and learning of a dedicated professional pursuing a career in the music industry. The position will offer insight into the operations of music distribution, label, and the day-to-day role of an artist scout A&R. You will work remotely from any city in the United States, Australia, Canada, or the United Kingdom.
The individual selected will focus on supporting the scouting and discovery of unsigned artists, assisting in the following tasks:
• Research and scouting of unsigned Artists
• Pitching in weekly signing meetings
• Playlisting and file organization
Qualifications:
• Previous internship experience not required
• Fundamental understanding of spreadsheets, Excel, and Google Sheets preferred
• Basic understanding of content management systems (Disco, Dropbox, G-Suite, etc.)
• Self-motivated team player
• Highly organized and efficient
• Diligent, proactive, and resourceful
• Passion for music and the creative process
• Strong attention to detail
This unpaid internship, working remotely with weekly meetings, requires a dedicated 10 hours per week. You must be enrolled and approved for an internship. You may still apply and work on a commission-based system if you are not working for credit.
