An electrifying fusion of vocal power and rock brilliance, MiQael delivers a show-stopping standout.

Love & Death EP (feat. ANNIÊ) by MiQael is a sonic wildfire that doesn’t just light up the alt-rock and indie pop landscape. It burns it down and builds something entirely new from the ashes.

We discovered MiQael and this remarkable release by pure chance, and within seconds of pressing play, it was obvious: this is not just music. It’s a full-blown experience.

Opening with “Two Becoming One feat. ANNIÊ,” the EP launches in cinematic slow-motion, as a delicate violin line draws you in with unexpected gravity. Just as you’re suspended in that breath, the track detonates into a soaring orchestral rock explosion. The guitar work from MiQael is raw, distorted, and alive, and Jonas Jönsson’s drumming drives everything with precision, flurries of intricate fills, and rhythmic bursts that never let the momentum dip.

Then ANNIÊ hits. Her voice is the eruption, authentic and fierce. Her vocal runs aren’t just impressive; they’re breathless marathons of passion that feel like they could tear open the sky. It’s the way she rides the instrumental chaos, not above it but within it, that makes her delivery feel almost volcanic. Midway through, the track gallops forward with unstoppable force. Just as it feels like it might spin out, Jönsson’s drums carve breathing space for ANNIÊ to command the spotlight again. The electric guitars on the outro swell to an ecstatic crescendo, melting into a symphonic rock fusion that’s so exhilarating you’ll be scrambling to hit replay the moment it ends.

Then comes “Pull You Through feat. ANNIÊ,” a track that opens on a sharp synth note but quickly unfolds into something much bigger. There’s a theatrical scope here. It feels like Broadway went rogue and joined an alt-rock rebellion. ANNIÊ once again brings emotional depth in spades, while MiQael’s guitar work reaches into anthem territory. There’s a clarity in the production that makes each note pop like it’s lit from the inside. One moment you’re immersed in classical elegance, the next you’re headbanging to thunderous riffs. Jönsson’s production here is razor-sharp but somehow still captures the chaotic edge of a live performance. The song becomes a shapeshifter: cinematic, grand, intimate, and explosive, all at once.

“Forever feat. ANNIÊ” dials the aggression up another level. This is a near-metal storm that punches hard from the first note. The guitars carry a heavier, darker distortion: thicker, meaner, more deliberate. ANNIÊ’s voice doesn’t just keep up. It owns the chaos. Her delivery here is more than just powerful. It’s confrontational, a full-force vocal attack that’s as melodic as it is volcanic. Jönsson brings a drum performance that’s relentless, a rhythmic inferno that surges with each chorus. There’s a shift halfway through, a surprise break into a cleaner, softer guitar solo that’s just devastatingly beautiful. That moment alone earns a permanent spot in the alt-rock hall of fame. It’s vulnerable, technical, and emotionally loaded, a rare trifecta that seals this song as a highlight.

Finally, the EP closes with the title track, “Love & Death feat. ANNIÊ”, and it’s nothing short of a masterpiece. The arrangement is lush, with strings sweeping across the mix like an orchestra tuned for heartbreak and defiance. MiQael’s guitar tones here are cleaner and more spacious, letting ANNIÊ’s voice shine. And shine it does. Like a spotlight breaking through storm clouds, her performance feels theatrical in the best way, almost cinematic in its arc. The combination of instrumentation and emotional weight makes this track feel like the final scene of a brilliant movie. It is bittersweet, powerful, and unforgettable. It doesn’t just end the EP. It crowns it.

What’s wild is how, by the end of Love & Death EP (feat. ANNIÊ), it’s impossible to pick a favorite. Every track builds on the last, pushing higher and digging deeper. You finish the EP, hit replay, and the same cycle starts all over again. Each time it’s more thrilling than the last.

The production across the project is immaculate but never sterile. Jönsson brings a clarity that lets each part breathe while still preserving the rawness and edge that makes this feel like true rock ‘n’ roll. It is orchestral, dirty, poetic. A storm with structure.

We absolutely loved Love & Death EP (feat. ANNIÊ) and can’t recommend it enough. Add it to your library. Share it with your people. Turn it up loud. This is the kind of EP that doesn’t just sound good. It stays with you.
